Quadra Island

Quadra Island, the largest and most populous of the Discovery Islands is located at the northern end of the Strait of Georgia. It is nestled between Vancouver Island and the mainland coast and lies approximately three and a half kilometers east of Campbell River.  It is accessible by boat, seaplane and ferry from Campbell River.

The waters surrounding Quadra are a boaters dream with numerous inlets and islands to explore. Popular nearby destinations include Bute Inlet, Toba Inlet, Cortes Island, and Desolation Sound. The area is well known for its breathtaking scenery, salmon fishing, and abundant wildlife including whales, dolphins, bald eagles, and bears.

The Quadra Island Harbour Authority manages two locations, the Quathiaski Cove Harbour, and the Heriot Bay Harbour. They are both communities in themselves, with plenty to see or do. Mingle with friendly locals, chat with fishermen getting their boats in order, there is always something going on in the Harbour!

Quadra Island has interesting shops within walking distance of both Harbours as well as easy access to excellent restaurants and pubs!

The Heriot Bay Harbour is on the east side of Quadra Island. The docks are located on the southern side of Heriot Bay, southwest of the ferry terminal (to Cortes Island).   Heriot Bay SCH has 450 m of linear moorage (recreational and commercial) and is a natural harbour.
